Deane Carson
Farm Management Consultant
Having Graduated with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science Deane worked for AgResearch for five years on various projects from internal parasite to lamb finishing forages, trace elements and many others research topics. Taking up a role with Agribusiness in 2005 as a Sheep and Beef Consultant, he has looked after numerous discussion groups, monitors farms and built a strong book of clients. He is passionate about databasing of client data and the role that plays in providing quality targeted advice for clients. Over the last eight years he has tracked performance figures from over 2 million lambs.
As a director and shareholder of the firm, he provides much of the Sheep and Beef expertise in the team. Recently he was awarded the title of Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Primary Industry Management for his services to his profession. In 2024 Deane joined the Beef and Lamb New Zealand Southern South Island Farmer Council as an industry member.
His spare time is devoted to his family, wife Donna and two children. He can also be found in a shed trying to fix Land Rover trucks, fishing camping or hunting.
