Based in Invercargill, New Zealand, Ivan Lines is a Registered Farm Management Consultant and over the last thirty eight years has build up a large base of dairy and sheep clients through out Southland, South and West Otago.  Graduating with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science Degree with Honours in Farm Management from Lincoln University, Ivan worked for MAFTech for three years before setting up his own consultancy practice in 1989.

A principal of Agribusiness Consultants Ltd, he heads a team of thirteen specialist and general farm consultants, farm supervisors and accountants that cover all aspects of farm management from day-to-day management fine-tuning to property assessments, investment analysis, equity partnership syndication and property supervision. Agribusiness Consultants Ltd is now regarded as the largest consultancy practice in Southland.

Ivan is a life member and a registered member of the NZ Institute of Primary Industry Management and is a past National President. He spent five years on the Fonterra Shareholders Council rising to deputy chair and holding many Council and Board roles.  He sits on fifteen farm boards as either a full board member or an advisory board member and is a trustee of many family and farming trusts.

Ivan and his wife, Vivienne are shareholders in six dairy properties milking a total of 3500 cows producing a total of 1,750,000 kgMS.

Ivan and Vivienne have three children and are enjoying their two grandchildren.
